About Us
At Momentum Behavior Services (MBS) our mission is to provide specialized individualized services to children and adolescents with an Autism Spectrum Disorder by providing direct one to one home, school and community based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services.
Our commitment is to educate family members, teachers, and other professionals in the classroom, home, and community settings, and to be able to transfer skills and to build upon each child's capabilities and strengths as well develop lifelong skills, so that the child can be as successful and independent as possible.
We seek to facilitate the acquisition of positive behaviors, improved social skills, language, communication, cooperation. We also facilitate the decrease of interfering behaviors.
Our Core Principles
Family Centeredness
A child’s path to success begins with the family. MBS takes a family centered approach. Parent training and participation is built into therapy sessions. Studies have shown that parents who actively participate in their children’s therapy can lead to greater success.
Treating families with respect
MBS providers will ask questions and listen to the family’s opinions, suggestions, and concerns. All plans will be a result of close coordination with the family.
Open communication
MBS will discuss with the family in advance (1) the type of services to be provided, (2) the type of services that the family are expecting, and (3) the role family will play in these services. Expectations of the family's role and results from MBS will be discussed to ensure consistency of service and to optimize positive results.
Involvement in treatment
MBS will work with each family to guide them to the creation of realistic goals for the client. Families will be present and active during each session.
Individualized Care
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) focuses on individualized care through the collaboration with the BCBA and the family and regularly meet to discuss progress and make any changes as needed.
Highly Qualified Providers
All of MBS' providers are required to be a certified Registered Behavior Technician and compliant with ongoing professional development to ensure they are well versed in all aspects of their position.
